We're supporting the fantastic East of Otley Action Group in their campaign to fight the massive 700 house East of Otley development. This is going to be built by Persimmon to the lowest possible environmental standards, and means we will all suffer the consequences of thousands of tonnes of carbon emitted needlessly between now and 2050.
We recognise the need for more homes for our communities, but these MUST be good quality and in locations which don't further damage our fragile natural environment. We need homes which are liveable, affordable and zero carbon ready. This is entirely possible and other developers are doing this in our region. We're actively supporting the development of fresh ideas for how future-ready homes could be provided in our communities.
You can help fight this by objecting to the planning application: - go to Leeds Planning Portal - enter the reference number 21/01671/OT
